FAQ

Where did all the nsfw asks go?

I’ve moved them to a secret blog available only to those who have pre-ordered the game or subscribed on Patreon. This was in an effort to make this content less accessible to minors.

Where can I pre-order the game?

Here!

Where can I find your Patreon?

Here!

What is included in the pre-order?

The pre-order will include the following:
  • A discount. The pre-order is $3, while the final game will be $5 after release.
  • Access to the complete nsfw version game. The sfw version will be entirely free but without sex scenes and other depravities- these will fade to black.
  • Access to the nsfw game wip with updates.
  • Access to the Discord, where I share spoilers.
  • Access to the nsfw blog which contains spicy asks, drabbles, and art.
  • Exclusive nude portraits of Edith, Edward, Tamsin, and Thomas.

Why is the nsfw blog crashing/not showing up?

Per the way tumblr sets up password-protected blogs, you can only view it in a web browser by navigating to its URL (blogname.tumblr.com). If you are on mobile, you will need to use your web browser and switch it to desktop mode. For more information on how tumblr treats password-protected blogs, click here.

Why can’t I follow/like/reblog the nsfw blog?

The way tumblr keeps password protected blogs hidden is by removing those features from them. For more information on how tumblr treats password-protected blogs, click here.

Why doesn’t my password work anymore?

I now update the password on the first of every month. The new password can be acquired through the Discord, a Patreon post, and a downloadable PDF on itch.

Romance

How old are the romantic options?

All of the characters’ ages are relative to the main character, who can be set as 18-19, over 20, or over 30. Edith/Edward are 6 years older. Tamsin/Thomas, Henrietta/Henry, and Lucia/Laurence are all the same age as the MC. The Uninvited Guest is just… older.

Will the MC’s age change how they are treated?

You can expect slight differences in dialogue and perhaps actions, but no major changes to any scenes. As an 18-19 year old, the MC has just come out into society; a 20+ MC is still at a socially “acceptable” marriageable age, and at 30+ the MC is considered a spinster.

How will the masked romance routes work?

After the Bacchanal you must choose one of them to get to know better.

What is the love triangle?

Edith and Edward are, by default, a love interest since they are betrothed to the MC. However, the story I really wanted to tell was about interacting with these masked figures, so you will need to choose a path to follow with one of them. This means every path will have Edith/Edward as a rival for your affection and part of a love triangle, though romancing them is entirely optional.

What is the love square?

Tamsin and Thomas can also be romanced in every route except Rabbit’s, making a love square.

How can I romance Edith/Edward or Tamsin/Thomas?

Though you will be required to choose a path with a masked character this does not mean you will be forced to romance them. There will be “dates” where you can choose who to spend time with. You may also form platonic relationships or drift apart depending on your choices and the masked character.

Can any of the masked characters be one of the other mentioned characters?

Aside from The Uninvited Guest, the masked characters are all mentioned characters. Fox and Rabbit could be Tamsin/Thomas, Henrietta/Henry, or Lucia/Laurence. Butterfly could be Edith/Edward, Henrietta/Henry, or Lucia/Laurence. Part of the fun is figuring out who is who 😉

Will the characters being gender selectable make it easier to figure out who they are?

You can only romance one gender in each playthrough. Choosing Edith will make all the ROs female, and choosing Edward will make them all male. It is unfortunate, but I had to do it this way to preserve the mystery. I am sorry, fellow pan/bi people. There are always multiple playthroughs!

Can I be locked out of any routes?

Yes. Rabbit is demi and will not extend an invitation to meet again with a MC who does not respect their wish to take things slow. Tamsin and Thomas cannot be romanced if you choose Rabbit’s route. The Uninvited Guest will only show up as a romance option under… certain conditions.

If Fox and Rabbit are both demiromantic and demisexual, then how will it be possible to romance them if the masked ball is just one night?

It will be clear to all the ROs that the MC has just a month to decide what to do, which influences how fast these bonds are formed. The Bacchanal may be one night, but the story follows the course of the month leading up to the wedding. It would also do to keep in mind that every masked RO has met the MC before 😉

Are there any poly relationships?

No. The bottom line is these characters would never form a relationship with each other. The practical reason is I already have enough on my plate with the love triangles and squares.

How will the masked ROs be revealed?

There will be different checkpoints in each route where, depending on the choices you’ve made and the way the character feels, they may or may not choose to reveal themselves. At those checkpoints you may also choose to keep the identities a secret, which can last until just after the elopement or when the masked RO does not feel comfortable continuing to be hidden anymore. I have also included the World-Wise and Sensitivity stats for the player to try and figure out their identities, though the way it factors into the story will be largely dependent on the scope of the project. (This is all subject to change as the story is written)

What makes the red flags a red flag?

In short, I would not consider the relationships you can have with them to be healthy in the real world, but acceptable to explore in fiction. The red flags are marked on the Romances post.

Can the MC make it clear early on that they don’t want to marry Edith/Edward?

The MC can be very clear about it from the start, but Edith/Edward will take it as a challenge (at first). There is at least one “date” with them that the MC cannot get out of, which is early in the story, but past that you can choose who to spend time with. E’s levels of persistence will vary based on the masked route and the MC’s level of engagement. Despite E being the villain of the story, I do not want to write them as unrelenting as people I’ve had to deal with in real life when told no, unless you are purposefully accruing points with them. So, if I do my job well, players put off by E’s behavior won’t have to put up with the worst of it for very long as they can have their MC spend time with other people. But that isn’t to say E won’t make one last ditch effort; they just won’t be constantly hounding the MC.

Is there a recommended order for which masked characters to romance first and last due to the twists?

As the story is currently planned, these are how many twists each masked route will reveal, from most to least. Fox > Butterfly > Rabbit > The Uninvited Guest The least amount of revelations will be in The Uninvited Guest’s route, so I would recommend starting there and working your way up if you’d like to be continually surprised. Even still, you cannot learn every secret unless you play every route.

But REALLY, how DO the romances routes work?
